Foodie

Chapter 2:
Cafe De Alps

March, 2016, Lipa City - Pasaan ka? Pumarine ka na! For one, the name of the cafe is truly interesting, and aside from that, I have been hearing quite an awesome feedback from people regarding the food and pastries they serve at Cafe De Alps.

Cafe De Alps is one of the food "stalls" within the vicinity of Metro South Zone Dining Place in Lipa. It is at the right end section of the said place. Among the stalls, or rather, restaurants in the area, Cafe De Alps, has one of the most interesting exterior design. One may not easily notice that the place is actually built from a revamped bus until you enter the main dining area.

Since the main dining area is basically a bus, it is expected to be a bit cramped taking in just enough space for tables and chairs. Personally, I was not at ease talking with my friend without lowering my voice to a whisper while we were dining inside, because I felt like our neighboring diners heard everything we were talking about. So, I think, a spot at the upper deck or outside of the main dining area is better for people who would want to enjoy a good chat with good food.

On the other hand, Cafe De Alps offers variety of food from sandwiches to pastas, pastries and even meat dishes. They also offer coffee and a wide array of frappes. The price is really affordable too. For three hundred pesos you can already have a hearty meal of a pasta and some other beverage.

My friend and I ordered sardines pasta and the sandwich of the day. Two thumbs up for both! The platting is appetizing and the taste is even better. Definitely worth the money!

I definitely recommend you trying this place! It is a one-of-a-kind dining place where you won't regret paying good money for food.
